Key personnels at VirtuaDrug

DrDr. Zsolt Bikadi. Zsolt Bikádi is a co-founder of Virtua Drug. He holds a Ph.D. degree of Bioorganic chemistry from the Eotvos Lorand University. After receiving his MS degree he joined the Chemical Research Center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as a computational chemist. At Virtuadrug, he is responsible for the development of scientific software products. He has published about 50 scientific papers in well-known journals dealing with the application of computational methods in the life sciences.

Dr. Eszter HazaiDr. Eszter Hazai is a co-founder of Virtua Drug. She received her Ph.D. degree in the field of Biochemistry from the Eotvos Lorand University. She worked several years at the University of Massachusets, where she investigated the metabolism of drug molecules by cythochrome P450 enzymes. After this period, she joined to the Molecular Pharmacology Department of the Chemical Research Center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where she started working on the computational prediction of biological systems. She has about 30 papers in internationally recognised journals. She is a leader of many scientific and strategic projects at their company.

David Malik is a software engineer at Virtua Drug. After receiving his MSC degree in Electrical Engineering he joined the Research Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as an embedded system developer for space equipement. During this period, he joined Virtua Drug, where he started working on the developement of online scientific software products.

Dr. Istvan Hazai holds a Ph.D. degree from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. During his professional carrier his interest was focused on separation science and on the application of computers in chemical/biochemical laboratories. He has published more than 40 scientific papers in well recognized journals dealing with application of chromatography and mass spectrometry in the field of drug development and geochemistry. He joined our company immediately after its foundation and is responsible for many of our research projects.

Dr. Laszlo Demko received his Ph.D. in physics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he spent his first academic years as a research associate. Starting from this time he joined Virtua Drug to work in the fileds of molecular modeling and research informatics. Later on he was employed also by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Eotvos Lorand University. At present, he is working at the ETH Zurich as a researcher in applied sciences.
